FAQs

What exactly is ORS?

ORS stands for "Optimized Ranking Signals", and what this tool does is that it sends a large amount of users (bots) to a specific URL in order to make it go Viral in the eyes of Google.

This virality will trigger a sudden jump in rankings within the Google serps. Not only for the main keyword, but also for all the long tail keywords for which the URL is optimized for.

Does Google not see this traffic as bots?

One of the things that we managed to solve very early on was the ability to pass all Google bot detection systems.

Google does a milisecond check on every user that goes through their search engine, and they verify about 70 different points on each user, just to see if he is a human or a bot.
they verify for example if the user is logged into a Gmail account, if that Gmail account has activity, they look at the cookie history, the past behaviour of the user, etc.

If you pass this test (which is what our users do), then you are seen as a human and can start influencing the part of the algorithm that has to do with "user experience".

Is there any chance of a Google penalty by using this technique?

No, there is absolutely no penalty involved in this. All we do is sending traffic. And Google does not penalize traffic.

The worst thing that could hypothetically happen is that Google sees our traffic as "bots", and the result would be that they would simply get ingnored. In that case, they would not be able to do anything positive nor negative towards the algorithm.

We have been doing this for almost 5 years now, we do over 1000 campaigns per day, and there has never once been a case of penalty due to traffic.

How long does the effect of the traffic campaigns last?

The effect usually lasts between 3-5 days, depending on GEO and keyword. After that time, the results will slowly start falling back to their initial position where they used to be, before the campaign was sent.

Thats when we would recommend to send out another campaign to keep the results up in the rankings.

Where can I apply this type of traffic to?

The ideal is to send it to URLs which already have keywords in first page of Google, or keywords which are about to jump into first page of Google. Thats where you will see the best results.

Besides that, you can also use this traffic on any article that links out to your site. With this, you will force Google to Index that article, and you also multiply the power of that link temporarily.

Does this technique work on any URL?

It works on any URL that has a "healthy" SEO history. Meaning that it will not be very effective on sites that have issues like penalties, duplicate content, onpage issues, etc.

If you are using it on a specific URL and its not working as expected, please contact us and our SEO team will help you out by analyzing that URL and letting you know where the problem might be.
